Beach inspired walled garden in the village – Landscape design & Property Management

A large patch of artificial grass makes it easy to wash and dry kite surfing equipment.
The rest of the garden is planted with low groing ornamental grasses and shrubs
Wooden pathways add to a beach vibe and make going aroiund barefoot comfortable
Despite of the small space there is a place for everything, a large parking is included for one car and a motorbike
There are many herbs in the garden: mint, thyme, oregano, louisa and sage
Bark covers the soil in between the plants in order to regulate soil humidity helping with water consumption
There is a row of olive trees prividing privacy towards the neigbouring garden
At the entrance a lush bougainvillea climbs over the wood covered pergola

Avid kite surfers with a small dog, the owners of this garden in Alyki bought two plots in the village in order to create a garden where they can entertain and relax.

Our brief contained creating an area where the kite equipment could be washed off and dried safely, and the rest of the garden to be planted with low growing herbs and grasses that don’t have very high watering need and provide interest all year round. This is how the garden looks like a year later.

Adjacent to the parking area we opted for good quality artificial grass which makes arriving from the beach easy and clean.
