“Art is too important not to share”

Designed to get immersed in peace and tranquillity this amazing artist’s home is the ultimate getaway for those who seek experiences off the beaten path.

The Sculptor’s Villa & Studio is nestled on a hilltop with panoramic views of the sea and the beautiful neighboring island of Antiparos. Surrounded by an acre of Mediterranean gardens the property offers unadulterated privacy. The villa is a short eight minute drive from Parikia, the main town and port of Paros and is a convenient 5 minute drive from the island’s airport. We would invite you to stay, please send us an inquiry with any questions you may have!

The Space

The home consists of the main villa and the studio which was the artist’s workshop and has now been converted into a bright, modern self-contained apartment. The villa and the studio are rented together. The timeless combination of marble, stone and honey-colored wood creates an elegant but somewhat cosy space. Everything is handmade, meticulously perfected by the artist to his own very high standards.

The Sculptor’s Villa

The main villa features a master bedroom suite on the first floor with a fabulous terrace facing the sea and two additional bedrooms with sea and garden views. They can be configured to either twin beds or standard doubles if required.

The villa has got two bathrooms, an ensuite to the master bedroom upstairs and the other bathroom which serves the two ground floor bedrooms. There is also an outdoor shower at the pool, a bliss on hot summer days. All bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.

The living area is open plan with a large wooden dining table in the dining room which comfortably seats 6-8 people. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped with gas hobs, electric oven, fridge-freezer, dish-washer, coffee maker, kettle and microwave oven and has a cosy breakfast bar. The sunken living room has comfortable leather sofas and a stone fireplace.

A covered terrace at the front of the house has a marble dining table with seating for 6-8 people. A round marble table on the front terrace is a perfect spot for your morning coffee and sunset cocktails. You can enjoy the spectacular sunsets each evening and on a clear day, you can make out up to six neighbouring islands on the horizon.

There is a laundry room with a washing machine, as well as a covered outdoor area which is ideal for drying.

The Sculptor’s Studio

The studio has just been renovated and features a large double bedroom and a corner sofa with a privacy partition in between. Ceiling-to-floor double-glazed glass sliding doors open to a spacious bamboo-covered terrace and a large outdoor space. The bathroom is finished in grey Parian marble and has a shower. The fully equipped kitchenette opens out to a breakfast bar.

Both the villa’s bedrooms and the studio are air-conditioned and have mosquito nets on some of the windows. WiFi is available.

The quirky organic-shaped pool is subtly set back from the house and is protected by a dry-stone wall, olive and cypress trees. A perfect place to relax and sunbathe and when it gets too hot, a wooden pergola provides shade. A sunken table and seating area by the pool carved out of the bedrock is the perfect spot for refreshments.

The garden has plenty of creative seating areas, each providing a unique view of the surrounding countryside. Mature Eucalyptus trees add colour and shade to the front terraced garden which unfolds like a secret garden and includes even a simple tree house held up by the branches of an old olive tree.

The property was designed and constructed by the artist himself. This is a culmination of the vision and artistry of Richard King who has taken elements of Cycladic culture and Parian nature and created a masterpiece.
